Worldview Matters – Silver and Gold and a little extra food

I don’t think this recession is going to come to an end before it gets much much worse. My best advice would be to prepare as best you can. Gold and Silver can act as a hedge against financial issues. 30 days of food will help in the event of an emergency. Some is better than none. We know how our govt. handles dis…asters like Katrina and the Oil Spill I’m not willing to be dependent on our govt any more than I’m forced to. Wow… this is very similar to what happens to me. I say one thing and let the straw man arguments begin.

How does Homosexual marriage affect marriage?

When the issue of Homosexual marriage comes up, eventually someone makes the statement that it doesn’t affect us so why should it bother us what they do. Very seldom do I ever hear a good response given.  Even recently on another Facebook page this came up in conversation regarding the judicial despotism that took place here in Iowa last year. I have found that homosexual unions/marriages not only affect marriage, but liberty and cost to individuals as well.

In fact same-sex marriage already has demonstrated that it will undermine the institution of marriage. Scandinavian countries has allowed for Same-sex marriages for a while. This has allowed for some time to study the impact on their society.

Ten years later, out-of-wedlock birth rates have risen significantly in the middle group of nations. Not coincidentally, nearly every country in that middle group has recently either legalized some form of gay marriage, or is seriously considering doing so. Only in the group with low out-of-wedlock birthrates has the gay marriage movement achieved relatively little success. This suggests that gay marriage is both an effect and a cause of the increasing separation between marriage and parenthood. “

Not to mention the lack of freedom of speech. Other countries don’t have their rights written into law as we do here, but even here in the US like in Massachusetts where a parent objected to a gay “kindergarten” curriculum the school called the cops and had him arrested. In the same school, parents are outraged over a  book about two kings being read to children without their consent or knowledge before hand.

Then there’s the health issues. Homosexuals live 20 yrs less than Heterosexuals. With Obama-care, don’t think that won’t affect your premiums. In Canada, Gay activists are upset that their extra health problems caused by their behavior isn’t covered under their healthcare.

So we can not simply say that same-sex marriage won’t affect us or marriage.  It already is. What we have left is the results that show us what God’s word has told us all along. Because all of our rights come from God then anything that opposes Him is no right at all.  If it is not a right then it is a wrong.

Romans 1:18-32
