Importing Blog
I’m currently importing my blog from Myspace to here. So some of the links or references may not work or make sense. I will try to go thru and update these as time allows, but only after the import is finished. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be an easier way than copy and paste, but at least so far most of the links and pictures are working ok.
Thanks for your patience on this.
New blog coming…(This one doesn’t count.)
I’ve got a few things I want to write about later today, but instead of making one big blog I’ll make several smaller ones. This way I can categorize them a little better.
This is more of a note for me for about what those are
CES
MacWorld
Heath Ledger – maybe.
And then maybe a bit of a follow up to some ongoing topics.
later.
The New Years note
My brother Nate has visited the last couple of days. And we had a game night at my church last night to bring in the new year, which was awesome.
It has all kept me pretty busy but I’ve enjoyed all the time with family and friends.
It has been a good start to the new year.
May you all have or find Peace, Hope, Faith, and Love, this year.
Guilty of Hate
Well here’s an interesting view of how loving your neighbors as you love yourself could one day be construed as hate. Confused? Then I recommend you read the blog the link goes to.

Words
I’ve always struggled with words. Maybe I simply worry too much about what to say. Or maybe its all the times I’ve spoken before I thought about what I was saying.
Words … are powerful.
Words can put people to sleep, no matter how much caffeine you’ve had. Just ask any student. Words can also wake you up. Especially your name. When uttered by the teacher. You know the one that just put you to sleep.
Words allow us to communicate. They can build people up. And they can tear people down.
Words can entertain us. Make us laugh. Cry. Think.
Words can be devastating when their meaning is taken wrong. Words can explain misunderstandings.
Words can be full. Words can be hollow.
It has been said that “The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword”
Do you believe this to be true? Do we act as we say?
Do our actions empower our words? Or do our words move us to act?
Words spoke the world into existence.
Words are powerful.
These are some of the thoughts I’ve had when I contemplate what to write here.
Bible note
2 Timothy 4:3-4 (New International Version)
3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
Too hot…
I really need my air conditioner fixed. It’s too muggy. I can’t wait till winter.
iPhone
The iPhone comes out today. There’s been a lot of iHype about it. So I wonder if anyone I know can actually afford to get one. It’s about $600 for the phone and $80 for the monthly service.
Word is that people are waiting in line to get one.
I think I’ll wait for the prices to drop and until you can get it with a carrier other than AT&T/Cingular.
My 2 cents.
Another quote. More serious this time.
Whilst sun and moon endure, America shall remain a city of refuge for the whole earth, until she herself shall play the tyrant, forget her destiny, disgrace her freedom, and provoke her God!
~George Duffield (Patriot Preacher)
Owen from the Vicar of Dibley Quote
Sorry I’m late – sheep exploded. Nasty business. Owen makes his apologies at the parish council meeting.
This is too funny….ha!
